The GeoNet Network

GeoNet has taken advantage of the continued liberalization of the ICT sector in Kenya to ensure the best possible network exists for our clients today. Redundancy is key to providing top quality connectivity and GeoNet has therefore deployed multiple uplinks to and downlinks from the internet to ensure connectivity at all times. An industry-leading end-to-end Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 99.9% is provided to clients today. Currently GeoNet buys in excess 1.5Gbps of capacity into and out of Kenya directly and through our local and international bandwidth and IP transit providers.

 

1) Network Coverage

GeoNet has wireless infrastructure in covering Nairobi and Environs. Soon, we are expanding to Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Meru.

 

2) Support

GeoNet’s support department is available 24 x 7 x 365 to provide support to our valued clients at all times. Multiple management platforms are run to monitor clients’ connections, their utilization of data and voice links and to ensure their services are fully operational. In addition the network and all core components are monitored throughout with automated immediate notification via SMS should any issues arise.

Escalation procedures are also in place to ensure unresolved customer issues are escalated to the relevant senior managers (up to the Chief Executive). It is GeoNet’s belief that client support is critical to the business and as such is a key area of focus for the company at all times.

 

3) Security

Security in today’s environment is of utmost importance and as such it is a key focus at GeoNet. This includes not only securing the core network but also connectivity to clients. Advice is regularly given to clients to ensure they deploy suitable systems for their own network integrity.

 

4) Service Level Agreement

Our Service Level Agreement provides you with a high level of network availability on GeoNet’s network, our network and our international connections out of Kenya of 99.9%.

 

5) Client Relations Manager

A dedicated Client Relations Manager will be appointed to you with the sole responsibility of managing your account and handling any queries or faults and most importantly monitoring your usage and requirements with the aim to delivering effective solutions for your communication needs.
